The Farm is Working Hard

I found a robin's nest last week and it only had one egg in it...I thought that was kind of weird but when I went back the next day there was two and the day after that there were three.  I am so excited to see three little baby robins in there.  John did a little research and told me that Robins sit on their eggs for 9-16 day so hopefully some time next week they will hatch.
There is so much stuff coming up, and the things that were already up are growing so fast.  We will have broccoli in the next couple of weeks.  The peas started to flower and there are already quite a few pods on the vines.  the summer squash we planted outside is already coming up. I have been checking the tomatoes religiously trying to find the first tomato...I found it.  Then about 10 seconds later I found another one.  The swiss chard looks incredible, some of the prettiest colors you have ever seen on a vegetable.  The pak choi is very ready, we have two varieties this year.  For those of you unfamiliar with pak choi, it is an asian cabbage; it has meaty white stems and gorgeous tender leaves, which is excellent in stir-frys. Even the raspberries and grapes are starting to leaf out.

The shade garden looks incredible and it has just started filling out.  I remember two months ago when I first got here it was all one color brown now look at all the green in it.
