Garden Club

April 26th
John and I spent the morning doing the rounds, a little watering, some fertilizing, pulling weeds, shuffling things around.  Basically, putting the last minute touches to make the farm look nice for the garden club.  Around noon the ladies started rolling in, it was an impressive turn-out.  John gave an excellent presentation about growing vegetables in a hoop house.  I have been here for about a month and I learned a few new things!  Some of the garden club ladies are already a part of the CSA and had wonderful things to say about the produce, which only makes me more anxious for it to grow. Christy, very kindly, brought over some bouquets of daffodils.  It is so nice to see flowers blooming, especially since we have had such a cloudy and cold spring.

Since we did not do much today, I thought I would show you a few more birdhouses.  They are all over the farm and it seems like everyday I find a new one.
